Roy King FRPS, a valued member of Carshalton CC and Mirage, died on 1st December 2011 after a long illness. Jeff Royce writes:
"Roy was known to many photographers across the federation, and the wider photographic world. He was very well-respected for his brilliant and individual photography. After seeing his very imaginative prints, years ago, I realized that it was permissible to have people walking out of the image frame and indeed could be successfully placed on the very edge the print! This formula has been subsequently attempted by many others, but not so well as by him. On behalf of the Federation I wish to pass on our sympathy to his friends and admirers, both within Carshalton CC and elsewhere."
